March 30, 2026 (Hong Kong, SAR, China) — The three-year public welfare programme, Jockey Club Life Adventure Opportunity Hub CEO Challenge 2026, has officially kicked off. The CEO Challenge is supported and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, co-organised by Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JKHK) and Fullness Social Enterprises Society, with the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong serving as the research and evaluation partner. FANIQUE, a multinational social enterprise dedicated to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building a sustainable innovation ecosystem, together with the Global Innovation and Sustainability Leadership Institution (GISLI), has collaborated with the initiative as the knowledge-sharing partner to empower the programme. The collaboration aims to foster social innovation literacy among Hong Kong teenagers and drive the implementation of the UN SDGs in campuses and communities.

Mao Yu Lynn Yuan, Founder of FANIQUE, delivered a bilingual (English and Cantonese) session themed Leadership in Innovation for Sustainability to nearly 100 students participating in the Jockey Club Life Adventure Opportunity Hub CEO Challenge at Hong Kong Tai Po Sung Tak Wong Kin Sheung Memorial School. The presentation centred on how technological innovation empowers the implementation and practice of the UN SDGs. Using the framework of "Film Arts with a Positive Purpose", Lynn introduced three AI-enhanced film productions focused on UN SDG 5 Gender Equality, created to advance gender equality and strengthen equal opportunities and rights for women and girls. Under the framework of “Businesses with a Positive Purpose“, she shared international corporate social responsibility (CSR) cases implemented by FANIQUE in Canada, the United States and Hong Kong SAR, China. For instance, FANIQUE facilitated a partnership between its client brand, global food chain Pablo Canada, and Second Harvest, under which Pablo stores regularly donate food to low-income families and the homeless. It also designed a marketing campaign with donations for MarsQuest, a Canadian eyewear brand incubated by FANIQUE, in support of SickKids, where $1 CAD is donated to the organisation for each pair of sunglasses sold to support children with illnesses. In addition, FANIQUE provides mentorship resources for Futurpreneur and The FORUM, supporting the incubation of sustainability-focused innovation projects on a long-term basis. Meanwhile, during its operation from 2019 to 2023, the FANIQUE Innovator Program (FIP) incubated more than 300 young innovators from diverse cultural backgrounds worldwide, partnering with over 50 universities and educational institutions across North America, including the United States and Canada. Through structured mentorship and practical collaboration, the programme empowers youth employment and entrepreneurship. FANIQUE has also supported case competitions focused on children’s rights organised by UNICEF and the University of Hong Kong, establishing an interdisciplinary practice matrix for young people that integrates skills training, project refinement, horizon expansion and simulated real-world practice in a cycle of Learn → Practice → Exchange → Advance. By explaining the practical value of community innovation in solving social issues, enhancing ecological protection and promoting social inclusion, the knowledge-sharing session guided students to identify community needs in their daily surroundings, integrate innovative ideas with sustainable development concepts, and help teenagers directly understand the significance of individual changemaker actions in achieving the UN SDGs.

During the guest sharing session, Lynn also screened the bilingual (Chinese and English) intro promo video of the Global Innovation and Sustainability Leadership Institution (GISLI) to the participating students. She put forward the concept of "Tech for Good" and stated: "Technological innovations can be the changemaker for sustainability." Towards the end of her sharing, drawing on her experience as a social entrepreneur, she encouraged the students: "You’re never too small to make a difference as a changemaker."
